A day's leadership formation was organised for about twenty newly elected leaders of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Adugyama in the Goaso diocese. The programme was intended to equip the leaders for the task ahead and forms part of activities in preparation towards their assumption of office.
The programme begun with a reflection on John 15:16
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide. . .".
Topics treated were Call to Leadership and Leading People. There was also time for group discussions and open forum where issues of concern and bothering on leadership were handled.
Both the parish priest and the participants were content with the programme and requested for a weekend residential leadership formation for all the leaders in the church.
We are grateful to God for the opportunity granted us to serve his Church.
